A beautiful day on my birthday in Bocas del Toro.

It’s a beautiful day…
June 1st, 2021…it’s a beautiful day. Here today on an island in the Caribbean with Joanie. We have blue, sunny skies, and a Caribbean breeze coming in about 18 km/h at 80F. The waters are clear, a perfect temperature, and of 2, 4 hues of turquoise and blue.
hmmm, what would make for a perfect day…
The following is a…possibly ambitious checklist, but let’s see. For starterss, a good day of weather, nice Caribbean breeze, blue skies, sunny, stretch, coffee on, some meditation, a cold shower, and a kiss from my sweetie makes for a good day.
Getting in a swim and a little snorkeling would be fun.
Get a little work in on pieces that require a beautiful, sunny day; pictures, videos, audio.
To spend this birthday with Joanie, of which a handful know what I am referring to.
Spending some time reading would be interesting.
hmmm, what else…
Let’s see…spend some time, a little later in the afternoon, swinging in the hammock on the palapa dock with Joanie
Make my perfect, Scot’s Caribbean Pina Colada, Scot’s style…all 1:1 ish, pineapple juice, mango juice, coconut milk or creme, squeeze of orange, and of course, dark rum, all poured in a shaker with ice, and shake for 20 seconds or so, and pour into your favorite small unique mug or tahiti mug with a wedge of fresh pineapple, pretty little cocktail umbrella if you have them. And, our other, is a some good dark rum, 2, 3 fingers, over ice or a splash with club soda.
Of course, watching a pretty sunset, have the perfect meal, and then back on the dock gazing at the Milky Way and 2 thousand stars above, along with the awesome phospherescent beings winking at us in the water below.
And to top off a perfect day, curl up with Joanie with the breeze off the Caribbean blowing across the bed…hmmmzzzz.
A perfect, gorgeous, dream day…
So yes, lucky me…woke up, got out of bed, ran a comb…oh wait that’s umm…ok, all that and got my cold shower, got the coffee on and percolating, few minutes of stretching, pilates, yoga bits and a few minutes of meditation, and a kiss and hug from my sweetie…sweet!
Then yes, got in a little swimming/snorkeling and visiting coral and fish with just a sweet morning with the sun, blue skies, Caribbean breeze.
A couple hours of work on pieces that required a beautiful, blue skies and sunny day; for pictures, videos, audio.
a little afternoon shuteye…
About early afternoon laid down for my typical 20 minute shut eye and got to spend a half hour reading…nice.
By this time, we got out to spend some time out on the dock, over the water, in the hammock under the palapa with Joanie. A neighbor friend came on by and we had a good chat with a friend.
Scott’s Caribbean Pina Colada…
Depending on where we are, I tend to enjoy the local drink. On this side of Panama, in the Caribbean, Rum tends to be the go to. So, I’ve been perfecting my favorite here, not the Pina Colada’s from back home, but my perfect, Scot’s Caribbean Pina Colada, Scot’s style…all 1:1 ish, pineapple juice, mango juice, coconut milk or creme, squeeze of orange, and of course, dark rum, all poured in a shaker with ice, and shake for 20 seconds or so, and pour into your favorite small unique mug or tahiti mug with a wedge of fresh pineapple, pretty little cocktail umbrella if you have them.
We got to watch another pretty sunset, with a perfect Caribbean meal of fish, beans, hummus, papaya and mango.
the Milky Way Galaxy…
Having the chance in these parts to gaze at the Milky Way and hundreds of stars above is a treat for me, and let’s throw in the phospherescent beings in the water below winking up at us.
And topping off a perfect, dream like day, curling up with Joanie, listening to the waves below, with the breeze off the Caribbean blowing across the bed.
Now, that was a perfect, gorgeous, dream like day. Thank you Joanie. Joanie is the sweetest thing in the whole Milky Way Galaxy…and I got to spend the day with her!! Amo te XOXO…
And, a year ago…
And, it’s hard to believe a year ago we were on our way to summering in Portugal…wow!!
