Pets and Home care around the globe
2010 to Present
We have had the fortune to travel around the world meeting new people and staying/caring for their homes, often for weeks to months at a time, while exploring the regions of the U.S., Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Portugal, Croatia and Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines in Southeast Asia.
ARIZONA
We’ve had a dozen or more fantastic pet sits in Arizona: Scottsdale and Phoenix, Prescott, Tucson and Green Valley with a few in which we were invited back a 2nd and 3rd time to care for their wonderful pets and care for their beautiful homes with another scheduled this fall in Tucson.
PORTUGAL and SINGAPORE
Opposite sides of the world with the sweetest pets. We had the pleasure, the opportunity to care for Dottie, Bella and Suki in a gorgeous and unique home during our travels in Central Portugal for three weeks. And, in Singapore, we were able to spend five weeks with the best boy Raffles.
MEXICO & PANAMA
We were very fortunate and had the pleasure of several wonderful pets sits in beautiful home sits in Mexico and Panama. One side of Panama with Morris 40 floors up to the other on an island in Bocas del Toro, 20′ off beautiful blue Caribbean waters. While in Mexico we got to spend weeks with a half a dozen family’s caring for their beautiful homes and sweet pets.
Caring for our furry friends in Chapala/Ajijic
Sunny and Ruby
are a cute pair of canines that were fun to finish up our stay in the Lake Chapala area. They were great with each other and fun to be with.
Pedro soon found a cozy zzz’s place with Joanie.

Stella and Pedro
are a pair of rescue felines that just want to have fun, wrestle, run, get after their toys, then sleep, then cuddle up. They are adorable.
Patches and Rabbie
We have been very fortunate to get back and care for Patches and now, his best friend Rabbie. Patches is the best host and Rabbie the perfect gentlemen, the perfect house guest. Having cared for Patches and Rabbie and Patches beautiful home, we are caring for Stella and Pedro, a pair of felines, and Ruby and Sunny, a couple canines, in the Ajijic area.
Joanie and I had a great time in Arizona visitng family and friends. We were able to get many errands taken care of including getting our COVID vacine shots. But, it is good to get back to traveling and exploring fun places and meeting great people.
So, here we are and Patches always ready to play ball!

Arizona…after 16 months out and about
Phantom in Green Valley, a fun community south of Tucson, and Atticus in Avondale, one of the up and coming towns in the Phoenix area. And, that’s Atticus, an older, sweetest Chihuahua guy and his sister felines, 4, plus 3 or 4 or 5??? We got to spend Halloween, Joanie’s favorite time, with Wednesday, Sweetie, Pontiac and Chevron…and Goblin…and the other 2 or 3…all fun. The owner’s have made this sit organized and while it’s a little bit like herding cats…we and Atticus are doing just fine!!
And, Phantom, a feline, was sweet and more sweet, and the owner’s had everything super organized and manageable in their beautiful home. We couldn’t have put together better sits than what they both provided.
After 16 months outside the U.S. we landed back into Arizona and most fortunate to care for a couple of owner’s fantastic pets and their beautiful homes.
We have been able to touch base with family and friends in the Tucson and Phoenix areas and get a boat load of things done and purchased for our next xx months.

Lake Chapala, Mexico
As Guadalajara is becoming our go to city in between pet/home sits and meeting with doctors around Mexico for medical tourism, we came upon this charming area of Mexico.
Lake Chapala is about a 45 minute drive south of Guadalajara. There are several towns and villages around the lake all with their unique character and worth visiting.
We were fortunate to pet sit for not only one pet sit, but for three sits…a total of 8 canines of various sizes, ages and personalities, and all just the best.
Patches is a sweet sweet boy and so fun.

Grace & her little big sisters
is/was a 3 months young female German Shepard…beautiful, bright, excitable and just wanted to be played with and loved. She has big ears and big paws to grow into and will be very strong when she doubles in size. Grace has amazing instincts and character and could make for an excellent German Shepard.
Maya, Aika and Emi and their new little big sister Grace
Maya, Aika and Emi are sisters…Japanese Chins and all adorable and sweet and three different personalities hanging out with their new friend Joanie.
These four were so fun. The little girls stayed inside and went out back at their leisure. Two or 3 at a time would cuddle up with us whenever they had the chance. And, Emi was so good as Joanie would provide daily medication within seconds and no issues.
Grace is an outdoor girl and took care of the front gardens. She loved her walks and all the new smells she was learning. She never flinched during rainstorms and thunder, in fact was usually fast asleep after another busy day playing.

Panama
our pet/home sits in Panama…from cosmopolitan city to island in the West Caribbean…perfect!
Isle de Solarte, Bocas del Toro
The beautiful, two-story, owner built, self-sufficient island home…100% solar powered, rainwater harvesting, on it’s own septic system and it’s own gas tanks.
Our little beach where we could enjoy the sun and calm waters and go off snorkeling…the porch with 180 degree views…the palapa boat dock with a couple hammocks and 360 degree views to snorkel all about.
One of these times we’ll put together a video(s) and a page where one can click to where we’ll have more information about the home, the property, the care of and the stories of our 6 weeks, including our snorkeling with Nurse Sharks.
Another gorgeous West Caribbean sunset out towards Bocas del Toro from Isle de Solarte near Hospital Point.
Bocas del Toro
and the Isle de Solarte was the perfect setting for the Caribbean sailor gentleman that we met up with and had the pleasure of taking care of his unique home and property for 6 weeks thru May and into June.
Everything was designed by the owner and well designed at that. This is a beautiful, self-sustained home with triple-filtered rainwater harvesting system and a fully solar powered system. This is two-story home of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (showers) upstairs. The great room, office, dining, kitchen, laundry and another bathroom are on the first floor with a fantastic porch looking over the western Caribbean. There was a lot of care and maintenance required with this home sit of 6 weeks.
But, there are great views all around. Morning Panama coffee, sunset custom Pina Coladas, reading, writing, and snorkeling any time in between.
Morris in Panama City, Panama
Panama Morris chillaxing at home and the view off the balcony from the 40th floor of Morris’s home.
An April day in Panama City, Panama and another gorgeous view out towards the Pacific Ocean towards the Panama Canal.
Panama Morris…
as we named him…though he goes by Morris was such a fantastic boy with a kind and gentle personality. Morris lives some 40 stories up in a beautiful home with a fabulous family. Morris is a healthy and happy dog. We walked Morris in the morning and late afternoon, always obedient, sits on command to sit, and never any issues inside.
